MAKEUP REVOLUTION HAUL/REVIEW

BloglovinHey Blissful People,

Today I will be reviewing three products from Makeup Revolution. My local Ulta just recently set up a Makeup Revolution display and this was the first time I had ever heard of the brand. I was curious to try their products because they were not very expensive. The price range for their products are $5.00 to $18.00. The lowest priced items are lipsticks/glosses and the highest priced items are palettes. ULTA was having a buy two get one free sale so I decided to only test three products out.

The first product I tried was a lipstick. The lipstick I bought was the Iconic Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Chauffeur. I do not usually go for matte lipsticks because my lips stay so dry, but for some reason I decided to try this product out and I am glad I did. Chauffeur is a dusty rose/nude color and it does seem to be very matte, but it does not cling to the cracks/creases on my chapped lips. This lipstick does tend to wear off easily, but I am not opposed to reapplying. I believe the quality of this lipstick is great and it does not have an odd smell. I really liked the matte black packaging as well.

My final verdict is:
Wear Time: 3 hours (unless you are eating/drinking then I would say 1 1/2 to 2 hours)
Packaging: 5/5
Price: $5.00
Quality: 5/5
Overall: 4/5

The second product I tried out was the Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer in the shade Nothing Like Anything. This product is a gloss and not a liquid lipstick. The color of this is reddish brown and it is definitely non-sticky. The color did come of slightly brighter on my lips than I was expecting, but I am okay with that. This color is very intense like the name suggests and it does last for hours. After the gloss had wore off, I notice that it does leave a slight stain on my lips. My only complaint is that I wish there were more shades to choose from because I loved this!
For some reason every time I tried to crop this picture it did this so
I went with it, but you can still see the color!
My final verdict is:
Wear Time:  5 hours
Packaging: 5/5
Price: $5.00
Quality: 5/5
Overall: 5/5

Now for the last and most disappointing product. I love highlighters and when I saw that their highlighter was only $6.00 I had to buy it. I bought the Strobe Highlighter in Moon Glow Lights. When I swatched this product it seemed very chalky and the pigmentation was not very good. However, I was still willing to give it a shot. I went to apply the highlighter to my cheek and nothing showed up on my face. There was plenty of the product on my brush, but it was just not transferring well to my face. I could not even tell that I had highlighter on. I am curious if their vivid highlighter is the same as this one or maybe I just got a bad item and the other Strobe Highlighters are great. Even though the product was cheap I just can not recommend this product because of the bad color payoff.
You can not even see the swatch
because the color does not transfer well

The design looks very pretty!

My final verdict:
Wear Time: Could Not Be Determined
Packaging: 4/5 (I did like the design)
Price: $6.00
Quality:1/5
Overall: 2/5
